1. Genre
The album A Fever Dream by Everything Everything is put into a relatively new, unheard of and interesting genre. It comes into the genre known as nerd-rock / pop rock. It takes a spin on the classic pop music you would hear on the radio.2. Hidden Messages
In their songs, Jonathan Higgs, lead singer of the band, tries to add in hidden messages or or meaning to the song. In all of their albums, they've done this and now fans love to search through the songs to find these hidden messages.
3. The Hidden Messages in A Fever Dream
Trump vs facts (‘Big Game’, ‘Run The Numbers’), community divisions (‘Put Me Together’, ‘A Fever Dream’), slacktivism and trolling (‘Ivory Tower’) – and, possibly worst of all, defeatism (‘New Deep’, ‘White Whale’)
4. Vocal Range
Jonathan Higgs is the lead singer in the band, as I mentioned before. A lot of people would agree that the band got popular/we're seen as brilliant musicians because of Jonathan Higgs' impeccable singing. He has a vocal range of around 4 octaves, from G1 to G#5.5. Everything Everything's Age
Everything Everything released their first album in 2010, and then another 3 albums in the next 7 years, however they actually formed the band in 2017 and did many gigs at their university and around the UK, including the Junction in Cambridge.
6. "Weird Music"
Everything Everything are known for having different and unique music. Music bands would stick to making songs with their instruments. However Everything Everything decide to play with their songs and change them up. They add weird effects and make their songs stand out.
7. Creating and changing instruments
In previous songs, you would listen to it and get into a certain sound being played. However you probably won't be able to work out what instrument they're using to make this sound. That's because they actually change their instruments or try weird and creative ways to make different sounds. For example, they once used sellotape to ping guitar strings, make a crazy loud twanging sound which really worked in the song.
8. Music Videos
Most bands, when they make a new song or album would also make music videos for them, as they're musicians not filmers, they ask camera crews to come in and film a music video of them/for them. However Everything Everything decided to make and record all their own music videos in their newest album
9. Dealing with depression
A lot of their band members have had depressing moments in their life, however they managed to come together, help each other out and get through their hard times by putting all their efforts into their songs.
10. All singers
All of the band members actually have amazing voices and tend to all play the roles of background singers. Most of their songs have the other three band members chime in
